Sojourners Asheville Tour & Trolley Ride
About this event
Join the Sojourners on an Asheville Tour and Trolley Ride in May!
Isn’t it amazing how you can live in an area for a number of years and still not know a whole lot about it? Or how you can be a newcomer to that same area and begin to discover how rich its history is and how much there is to see and do! Well, no matter in which circumstance you find yourself, the Sojourners have an experience waiting for you in May that will help you discover something new about the Asheville area.
An entire Gray Line Trolley has been reserved for a city tour of Asheville on Tuesday, May 20, at 11:00 AM for our own personally narrated tour of the city. The tour will start at the Asheville Visitor Center located at 36 Montford Ave. During the tour, we will drive through the city as our guide highlights the history, homes, hang outs and hot spots of this “city of surprises”. Tour Highlights include downtown Asheville, Montford Historic District, The Grove Park Inn and Grove Park Historic District, Thomas Wolfe District, Pack Square and Asheville Art Museum, Grove Arcade, River Arts and South Slope Brewery District.
Cost for the tour is $37/person which includes the trolley ride, narrated tour, and tip for the guide.
Lunch will follow the tour at Stone Ridge Tavern on Brevard Road. The cost of lunch will be your own.
To register, please CLICK HERE. We expect this to be a popular event, and there are a limited number of seats, so please register early. The church bus will be available on a first-come first-serve basis for those unable to drive to the Visitor Center. Please indicate when you register whether you want a seat on the bus and also if you will be dining with the group. Cost of the tour is non-refundable.
