"Tying Up Loose Ends"

Got any loose ends to be concerned about? You Know- things that you have been meaning to take care of but just have not gotten around to them. What kind of things you may ask. Well, how about legal stuff like a “Power of Attorney for Legal and Financial Matters”, or a “Designation of a Health Care Agent/Power of Attorney”, or “Living Will/Desire for a Natural Death”, a “Will (naming of an executor for your estate)”, or establishing “Trusts” for dispersing of your financial, assets according to your desires, and so forth? And how about medical stuff like a DNR, a MOST Document, long-term healthcare placement preferences, hospice? There are financial matters that need to be addressed like insurance policies, bank accounts, pension plans, annuity matters, investments, veteran’s benefits, and the like. Do you have plans for what happens when your death comes- funeral, life celebration, graveside services, traditional arrangements, cremation options, burial/cremains placement, etc.? Do those who need to know your plans know your plans? Do they have access to your stuff- documents, keys, passwords, codes?

Seasons of Life- Event #4 will offer answers, clues, suggestions, and ideas to help you tie up some of those loose ends. Through presentations, group discussions, and Q&A sessions led by professionals, practitioners, and those with “on the job” experiences information will be shared that my apply to your situation and/or others close to you.

The session will be Thursday, January 9, 2025, in the Gym (Christian Growth Center) at FUMC Waynesville. Seasons of Life Events are a collaborative ministry of Grace of the Mountains Episcopal Church and FUMC Waynesville.
