Fall | Dementia "Making the Best of It"

When “dementia” enters the discussion- it dominates the discussion. When “dementia” joins the journey- it determines the destination and, also, the course the journey will take. There is no doubt that dealing with realness of dementia is challenging, difficult, demanding, expensive, exhausting, frightening, and …, a whole host of other descriptive words. It raises numerous questions, to which there are far too few answers.

Since a focus on dementia can be “downer”. The goal for Seasons of Life- Event #3 is to present the material in a manner that focuses on the “positive possibilities” that may be experienced by addressing this topic in the context of faith, hope, and love.

The Seasons of Life Event Series is a collaborative ministry effort of Grace Church in the Mountains and the First United Methodist Church of Waynesville.
