High School Mission Trip

High School Mission trip in Washington DC was jam-packed with fun, sightseeing, and working alongside local non-profits. We had an amazing experience meeting DC locals, eating ethnic cuisine, and learning all about gardening from the one and only Lou! A memory that sticks out to me was relay racing up the Lincoln Memorial. We all had a long day of serving around DC, but we were able to muster up enough energy to race up and down the steps with only two minor injuries. It was an awesome moment when we all came together, and it was a great way to start our trip! We learned so much about helping communities and learning about food deserts located in DC.
