Reparations: A Christian Call for Repentance and Repair, by Duke Kwon and Gregory Thompson
Wednesdays at 7:00PM, Weekly
In-Person & Zoom
In this six-week study we will enter into conversation with the authors about the Biblical and Christian understanding of reparations. We will work through the history of this conversation in the church and in society as we seek to find a firmer basis for our own work of repair today. Both authors are pastors with advanced degrees in theology, well-grounded in the local work of reparations. In their words: “We see it as our responsibility to acknowledge the truth of our collective history and our own culpability in it, to surface ethical resources in the Christian tradition that can help us engage the consequences of this history, and to call others in the church to take up the work of reparations in their own communities.” Reparations, p. 185.
